I'm originally from Baton Rouge, LA, moved to Austin, TX in 1990, and in 2023 moved to New Mexico. I try to incorporate some Cajun and Creole flavors with Southwestern flare. On my channel, you will see Southern Cooking mixed with a little Cajun, Texas BBQ, Italian, Mexican, and whatever else I feel like cooking. I usually upload one video per week, but since retiring I have times where I may not upload for a month or more so I can vacation with family. Correct, just use whatever you have on hand. I personally like white grape juice to spritz.
Can you grind up these vegitables before cooking them, or would that defeat the purpose?
You'll still get the nutrients, so grinding it up should work fine.

Just eyeball it and make it your own recipe John. That's how my grandma taught me recipes. She did eventually start writing them down as she got into her 60's, but learning was fun because she kept it simple with no measuring spoons or cups. Enjoy!!!

Just watched the Brisket & Pork Butt Video Picked up some good tips that I will try next time still getting use to my Weber smokey Mountain
You need to be sure and cook all of that delicious and not cheap food that you have mixed up! Just put it in a smaller oven proof dish. I wouldn’t even throw away cheap tuna, but you are using albacore and made from scratch sauce! Cook it all, and take the smaller one out a little early. Do not waste food! Thank you!

Just did a 9.5 lb. brisket on my 18WSM for a 4th July party and it was gobbled up, err DEMOLISHED in minutes! Poured some melted garlic butter on the slices when I served it. Probably the key step is be patient and dont skip the resting process after cooking - wrapped tightly for at least 1-1.5 hours before unwrapping and slicing. Troy your vids were a key reason I picked up a couple of WSM'S and I'll never stop using them- salute and happy 4th!🇺🇲🎆🥃

Yes, low & slow is the minion method or the snake method. I prefer the minion method, but both work fine and snake method is better on a cooker like a Weber Kettle. Minion is better for the WSM.
Man, i cant express how nice it is to see you uploading regularly again. Warms the soul. I know you took a break for a while, hopefully all is good. Here in N.C a lot of us like to add a dollop of Dukes Mayonnaise and a couple spoons full of chow chow and then crumble up your cornbread and add it to your bowl and i promise you it will absolutely rock your socks off.
